Sat Paul Mittal School organised The Satyan Entrepreneurial Challenge 2023-24
Ludhiana, January 19, 2024: With a perspective to develop an entrepreneurial mind-set in the young minds of Satyans, a two day Satyan Entrepreneurial Challenge was organized at Sat Paul Mittal School, an initiative aimed at empowering aspiring entrepreneurs and fostering innovation. The concept of the event involved budding entrepreneurs from Classes VIII and IX. Satyan Entrepreneurial Challenge is designed to provide a platform for potential entrepreneurs to showcase their novel ideas, develop business acumen, and receive mentorship from industry experts. This challenge invites individuals and teams to submit their business proposals and solutions that address current challenges or bring fresh perspectives to existing issues.
Since the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 heralds the potentially explosive growth of vocational education in the country as it requires all educational institutions to integrate vocational education into their offerings, Sat Paul Mittal School created an ecosystem for Satyans to train and refine their entrepreneurial skills.
A total of 40 teams participated in the challenge. All the teams armed with in-depth research, validated and exhibited their projects to the sharks who were part of the jury.
The sharks comprised of outstanding personalities. Dr. Munish Jindal, Founding President Mentorx, Dr. Nancy Juneja, Co-Founder and CEO Mentorx, Ms. Rupinder Maliya, Director - Vision Upgraded, Dr. Ati Priye, Mentor on Board - StartUp Punjab, CS Rattan Chanjotra, Managing Partner - Lal Ghai & Associates, Dr. Arvind Dhingra, Executive Director STEP and Mrs. D.K. Dhingra, CBSE Resource Person Education Researcher were some of the dignitaries who comprised the jury. The eminent jury members grilled the young entrepreneurs with the most challenging queries. The competition was very stiff as all the teams exhibited immense confidence and responded wonderfully to the questions asked by the visionary judges.
While announcing the results, the jury appreciated the teams for their efforts and unique ideas. Gold medals were awarded to the teams with the best business idea, logo, website, tagline and prototype. From Class VIII, Team Grab and Sip bagged the first position and from Class IX, Team Muscle Munch bagged the first position. The day concluded on an enthusiastic note as the presentations of the participants infused entrepreneurial fervour in the entire audience comprising of secondary school students. The spirit of these young entrepreneurs in the auditorium was unmatched!
