Indian mythology's rich plot lines and powerful characters are well known, but Sony SAB's Dharm Yoddha Garud takes it a notch further. It masterfully presents the ancient tales with a glorious depiction and engrossing narrative, along with the artists' outstanding performances. All of this makes the show a delight for the audience. In the show, Garud (Faisal Khan) is seen training to be Lord Vishnu's (Vishal Karwal) vahak, while Lord Vishnu narrates stories to him to help him understand the functioning of the universe.
The current plot revolves around Lord Shiva and Sati. Sati's father, Prajapati Daksha, disliked Shiva because of a misunderstanding where Shiva, an ascetic, unknowingly ignored him while in deep meditation. Insulted and enraged by this, Daksha develops a dislike for Shiva. As a result, when Sati expresses her desire to marry Shiva, Daksha strongly opposes her, but she goes ahead anyway. Daksha later holds a yagna but does not invite Sati and Shiva. Unaware of her father's hostility, Sati attends the ceremony despite Shiva's warnings. Things turn for the worse when Daksha insults Shiva in front of everyone. Sati is devastated and decides to punish herself severely.
What does Sati intend to do?
Nidhi Sheth, who plays Sati in the show, comments, "Even though this is mythology, the story has a lot of similarities to real life. Sati's actions and the consequences she faces represent the sacrifices one has to make to get what one wants. To know what happens to Sati, keep watching Dharm Yoddha Garud!"
