Sayantani Ghosh enters Sony SAB’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main as Daljeet; Rajeev’s new boss

Tera Yaar Hoon Main, Sony SAB’s slice of life show is about to witness a one-year leap since Janhvi’s unfortunate demise. The upcoming episodes will call for a heart-breaking sequence after the tragic accident takes Janhvi’s life that leaves Bansal family in grief, sorrow and emptiness.

However, the show will continue to bring forth the caring and loving relation between a father and son in the times of grief, while also bringing some fresh faces. Immensely talented and beautiful, Sayantani Ghosh will be seen as Rajeev’s new boss – Daljeet Bagga along with Mohit Dagga as Daljeet’s brother in law – Shakti and Daljeet’s two kids, Barry and Twinkle, played by Viraj Kapoor and Ekagra Dwivedi.

After a year of his wife’s death, heartbroken Rajeev (Ssudeep Sahir) tries to set things right in his family and tries his best to make his kids and the entire family smile. On the work front, Rajeev is handed the responsibility of welcoming the new boss, Daljeet Bagga. Things take a funny turn when the entire office along with Rajeev assumes Daljeet to be a man. To welcome his new boss, Rajeev reads out a shayari meant for his boss but Rajeev is left dumbfounded when his sees that his new boss is a woman.

On the other hand, a dark side of Daljeet’s life is revealed in front of Rajeev when he witnesses Daljeet’s brother in law , Shakti (Mohit Dagga) threatening to take away her kids if she refuses to marry him.

How will Daljeet’s entry change the course of Rajeev’s life?

Sayantani Ghosh, essaying the role of Daljeet said, “I am really excited to be associating with Sony SAB as I have been wanting to do a show with Sony SAB for a while now. With Tera Yaar Hoon Main what stood out the most for me is the genre of the show. I have tried my hands on a vast bouquet of genres but light-hearted comedy is something that people cannot instantly associate me with. As an actor these are the opportunities that you look for to reinvent yourself and show another side of your talent to the audiences. In terms of my characters look, I will be donning a short hairdo for the first time on television which was really exciting for me. 2020 has been a daunting year and I wanted a role that I could enjoy and have fun playing.

My character Daljeet Bagga is really interesting. She is a today’s woman who wears many hats. She is a boss, a mother and a woman of substance. But there are some challenging aspects to her life as a single mother. Daljeet will bring a new flavor to the show and her entry will be the catalyst to several twists. I am hoping that the audiences of Tera Yaar Hoon Main enjoy the episodes further and show Daljeet lots of love and support.”
