SBI Ladies Club National President extends support for education and nutrition in Dharamshala
Anita Khara, National President, SBI Ladies Club, during her visit to Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) donated Rs.5 lakhs at Sidhbari, Dharamshala for the Nutritional Assistance Program conducted by CORD (Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development).
Dharamshala, December 3, 2022: Anita Khara, National President, SBI Ladies Club, during her visit to Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) donated Rs.5 lakhs at Sidhbari, Dharamshala for the Nutritional Assistance Program conducted by CORD (Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development).
Khara provided an assistance of Rs.5 lakhs to contribute towards community-based nutrition and health programs in the area. She appreciated the social work being done by CORD to improve the health, nutrition and welfare of children and women and people with special needs due to medical reasons or old age.
CORD is a branch of Chinmaya Rural Primary Health Care and Training Centre, which has been working for sustainable rural development since 1985. It includes 670 villages in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and many more villages in other parts of the country.
Khara also visited the Tibetan Children's Village TCV and showed keen interest in the education and development of the children.
She donated laptops for the purpose of children's education. Tibetan Children's Village thanked SBI Ladies Club for their contribution. Khara spoke passionately about how education is the only light to guide children on the path to the future.
