SBS Nagar registers three more nominations on Saturday

Nawanshahr, January 29, 2022: On Saturday, the fourth day of Nomination process, SBS Nagar registered three more nominations, one for Banga and two for Balachaur assembly constituencies, said District Election Officer, Vishesh Sarangal, here today.
Divulging more details, SDM cum Returning Officer for 046-Banga, Mrs Navneet Kaur Bal, said that Mohan Lal s/o Swarna Ram from  BJP filed his nomination on Saturday from Banga-046. She said that so far Banga constituency has received only single nomination of today. Tomorrow will be holiday for nomination process and Tuesday, February 1, would be the last day for filing nominations.
Adding further details, SDM cum Returning Officer for 048-Balachaur constituency, Deepak Rohela said that Darshan Lal s/o Ram Chand from Indian National Congress, today, submitted his candidature from Balachaur constituency with one covering candidate Ajay Kumar s/o Darshan Lal. He said that previously, Balachaur RO office had got two nominations, one of BJP Candidate and another as an independent.
SDM Nawanshahar cum Returning Officer, 047-Nawansgahr said that no nomination was received for Nawanshahar constituency on Saturday. He added that one candidate from BSP with his covering candidate had filed nomination papers previous day.
Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer, Vishesh Sarangal while making appeal to the contesting candidates said that they should abide by  the regulations of Model Code of Conduct and get all the necessary permissions before heading to their campaign. He also appealed them  not to violate the COVID-19 and ECI guidelines and prohibitions.
Elaborating the online platforms made available by the ECI for the benefit of candidates, he exhorted them to use these IT Applications for getting mandatory permissions. He said by logging in to  https://suvidha.eci.gov.in/ candidates or their Election agents can apply for online permissions.
He disclosed that any advertisement or appeal to voters on social media such as facebook and other social media platforms and on electronic media would be added to the expenditure of the candidate. Making aware all the Political parties and candidates, he made appeal to all to get pre- certification of electronic and social media (Facebook pages, voice sms and text messages etc.) advertisements from Media Certification and Monitoring Committee set up at Room No. 414 of District Administrative  Complex before airing/posting them.
