SC Commission Members listen to complaints of SC Community
Members inaugurate awareness seminar in Ludhiana
Ludhiana: Members of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Gyan Chand and Prabhdyal on Thursday listened to the grievances of SC people who have arrived from various parts of the district with their problems following which the members gave necessary directions to the officials.
After inaugurating an awareness seminar organized jointly by State Media Club and Punjab Legal Cell in the circuit house, here today, they said that the commission is committed to the empowerment and transformation of weaker and deprived sections of the society.
The members asked the people to register their complaints from any part of the state if they are facing any kind of problem and their grievance would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
In the seminar, they also threw light on the rights of the people in the case of any atrocity and said that the commission would ensure justice to the complainant promptly.
They told that most of people belonging to the community do not have knowledge about their rights due to which they do not come outside from their homes for filing the complaint and suffer the atrocities. They also detailed the people about the provisions of the constitution for the welfare of the SC people.
