Scholarships given to meritorious students by The Jat Sikh Council at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, is committed to foster a conducive environment for all students by providing excellent services in academics as well as giving scholarships to the needy and meritorious students through non-governmental organizations. Under this, a scholarship of Rupees fifty thousand was given to the needy and meritorious students by “The Jat Sikh Council (Regd.)”.

Jalandhar, March 21, 2025: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, is committed to foster a conducive environment for all students by providing excellent services in academics as well as giving scholarships to the needy and meritorious students through non-governmental organizations. Under this, a scholarship of Rupees fifty thousand was given to the needy and meritorious students by “The Jat Sikh Council (Regd.)”. 

Gobindar Singh Randhawa from Canada attended this event as the chief guest. He was welcomed by S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, College Governing Council and Principal Dr. Suman Chopra. 

Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary in his welcome speech said that ‘The Jat Sikh Council’ has been giving this scholarship to the students of the college for a long time. He also informed that under the leadership of the President of ‘The Jat Singh Council’, H.S. Mann, this scholarship has been given to 53 needy students so far. 

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra, Jaspal Singh Waraich and founder member of The Jat Sikh Council Rajbir Singh Sekhon, founder member Sukhwinder Singh Lali, Prabhjot Singh, Dharminder Singh Chahal, Secretary Sukhbahar Singh together gave a sum of fifty thousand as scholarship to 10 students of the college. 

On this occasion, the chief guest motivated the students to set their goals in life and work hard to achieve them. 

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra, while addressing, said that this initiative of ‘The Jat Sikh Council’ is very commendable. This scholarship not only helps the students financially but also encourages them to study further. She added that in today’s time, such  social welfare acts are the biggest service to humanity. At the end, she also thanked everyone. 

On this occasion, the Jat Sikh Council distributed scholarships to students Jaskaran Singh, Ramanpreet Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, Manvir Kaur, Saroop Kaur, Manvir Kaur, Karanvir Singh, Jarkirat Kaur, Anmol Deep Singh and Amanpreet Kaur.
