School of Management Studies clinches overall trophy at CT University Athletic Meet 2024
The vibrant sports ground of CT University witnessed a spectacular display of athleticism, camaraderie, and sportsmanship during the recently concluded 7th Annual Athletic Meet organized by the Department of Sports. The two-day event, inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries - Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, showcased the unwavering spirit of the CTU community.
Ludhiana, March 1, 2024: The vibrant sports ground of CT University witnessed a spectacular display of athleticism, camaraderie, and sportsmanship during the recently concluded 7th Annual Athletic Meet organized by the Department of Sports. The two-day event, inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries - Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, showcased the unwavering spirit of the CTU community.
Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi addressed the gathering, inspiring students with insights into the historical development of sports in India and globally. The day commenced with an impressive March Past, where students pledged their commitment to fair play and displayed unparalleled enthusiasm. Participants from various schools engaged in a diverse array of events, including sprints, relays, jumps, and throws, demonstrating their prowess in track and field.
The Closing Ceremony, graced by Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh as the chief guest, celebrated the achievements of the participants. Dr. Singh motivated and encouraged students to prioritize fitness, emphasizing its positive impact on life and character development.
The School of Management Studies emerged triumphant, securing the Overall Trophy of the CTU Athletic Meet, while the School of Engineering technology claimed the first runners-up position. School of Engineering and Technology was honoured with the 'Best March Past' accolade for their exceptional display of discipline and precision.
Individual excellence shone through as Badal Rajak claimed the title of Best Athlete - Men, and Niloli earned the prestigious title of Best Athlete - Women.
Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Pro Vice Chancellor, CT University, and Gurdeep Singh, Head of Sports, extended their congratulations to the winners and participants. Dr. Tripathi remarked, "The Annual Athletic Meet is a testament to the unwavering spirit of sportsmanship and the incredible talents of our students.
