Ludhiana, January 23, 2023: CT University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organised a 5 day faculty development program in collaboration of APTI on Current Trends and Futuristic Challenges in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sector in which total 1522 participants of 250 + colleges/ university from Pan India attended the Program.


The Aim of this program is to ensure faculty competency through structured training which helps the faculty to keep them updated in cutting-edge technologies and enables them to be effective in classroom teaching and mentoring students in projects and internships.


FDP enhanced the knowledge, skills, and performance of healthcare workers and pharmacy professionals. On the first day inauguration of FDP was done by Honourable Chancellor by S. Charanjit Singh along with Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Harpreet Singh, and Vice-Chancellor (OFF.), Dr. Satish Kumar with lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Dr.  Vir Vikram, Head, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CT University conveyed a warm welcome to APTI President, Dr.  Gulshan Bansal on this occasion and views on the importance of FDP in the development of faculty profile and research were delivered by Dr. Gulshan Bansal.

On first day, Dr. Puneet Bansal, Associate Professor and Head Department of Pharmacology, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. Dr. Puneet Bansal delivered a lecture on the “Chrono-pharmacology and cardiovascular disorder”.

On the Second day of FDP Dr. Subheet Jain, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, GNDU along with him, Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Vice President, APTI discussed the role APTI in promoting the pharmaceutical fraternity. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Suresh Kumar delivered the lecture on the topic “Quality Education and Research in Pharmaceutical Sector”.

On the third day of FDP, Dr. Ashish Baldi, Dean, Research and Development, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda delivered lecture on topic ‘Research- The Aptitude and Exploration through Artificial Intelligence’.

On the fourth day of FDP, Dr. Vir Vikam, Head, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana introduced Prof. TR Bhardwaj, Former VC, Baddi University.

Prof T.R. Bhardwaj discussed the importance of FDP in growth of researchers, faculty members with all the participant and congratulated SOPS for organizing FDP session.

On 4th Day Dr. Vijender Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, DIPSAR, New Delhi. delivered a lecture on “Challenges and Futuristic Scope of Indian Traditional Medicine Against SARS- COVID types infection”. On the fifth day FDP, Subh Naman welcome all the dignitaries and speaker of the day. Session began with the words of Dr. Vir Vikram, Head, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CT University, On 5th day Dr. Anoop kumar delivered a lecture on the topic “Network Pharmacology: How Much Potential? And discussed network pharmacology and its importance in re-purposing of Drug Discovery

Dr Vir Vikram, HOS, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences thanked the resource persons APTI Members, University Officials, participants, dignitaries, organizing Secretaries, Faculty Members, Non-teaching Staff that made this FDP – A successful Grand Event.
