Schools reopened with more than fifty percent attendance
The Covid protocols were followed in the government and private schools
Ferozepur: The schools in this border district were reopened today. They joy of coming back to the schools was seen writ large on the faces of the children. Notably, there were thousands of students who had come to school after the gap of fifteen months.
Notably, more than fifty five percent students attended the schools today. The Covid protocols were followed in the government and private schools however in some areas, the parents had to face the transportation issues.
As per data available, there are total 1101 schools in the entire district which include 135 high schools, 161 middle schools, 623 primary schools and 182 senior secondary schools and 213377 students are studying in these schools.
Dr. Satinder Singh Principal Government Senior Secondary School Village Gatti Rajo ke said that students belonging to nearby villages were excited to come back to the school. “Even the teachers were excited to see their students back in the school. It is a fact that neither the students nor the teachers enjoy online studies. Both teachers and students are more comfortable in the classroom in comparison to online studies”, said Dr. Satinder.
Students Ansh Arora, Jeet Singla, Seerat Kaur, Hayra, Dilasha, Sonakshi, Jaideep said that they are all very happy to come back to the school. “Though we were doing online classes but I used to miss my school daily. I am happy to meet my friends and teachers also”, said Ansh Arora.
Kulwinder Kaur DEO said that keeping in view the present scenario, all the necessary arraignments were made by the schools. “Covid norms including social distancing and sanitization was ensured in all the schools”, said DEO
