Science City’s Annual Dog Show Highlights the Unique Bond Between Humans and Dogs

Science City proudly hosted the Annual Dog Show, alongside the German Shepherd Specialty Show, attracting over 150 dogs from 35 different breeds, including German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Doberman Pinschers, American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Boxers, Great Danes, Rottweilers, and more. The event witnessed participation from over 1,000 enthusiastic dog lovers and breeders, all gathering to celebrate and showcase the exceptional qualities of these beloved animals.

Kapurthala, January 27, 2025: Science City proudly hosted the Annual Dog Show, alongside the German Shepherd Specialty Show, attracting over 150 dogs from 35 different breeds, including German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Doberman Pinschers, American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Boxers, Great Danes, Rottweilers, and more. The event witnessed participation from over 1,000 enthusiastic dog lovers and breeders, all gathering to celebrate and showcase the exceptional qualities of these beloved animals.

The event featured a team of esteemed international judges, including AIS Bhinder from Amritsar, Dr. Himanshu Vyas from Udaipur, and Rajeev Chaudhary from Ghaziabad. In addition, H.S. Aulakh and Dr. Ankit Chhibber, representatives from the Kennel Club of India (KCI), organized a special single-dog registration camp to assist dog owners in registering their pets.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director, Science City, emphasized the integral role of dogs in human civilization and culture.  He said that dogs are not just pets; they are an essential part of human life and biodiversity. Further, this event serves to raise awareness about the diverse breeds and the profound impact they have on our daily lives. Through these activities, we hope to educate the public on the importance of domestic biodiversity and the significant role dogs play in our society,  he added.

In his Vote of Thanks, Dr. Munish Soin, Show Coordinator, expressed his gratitude to all the exhibitors, participants, judges, and dog lovers for the grand success of the event. He said that this show was not only meant to celebrate the diversity of canine breeds but also to foster a deeper understanding of the bond between humans and dogs.
