Scribes hold important meeting for setting up of Ludhiana Press Club

5-Member ad-hoc committee formed; Decision to hold elections next month
Ludhiana: In further pursuance of forming Ludhiana Press Club, a meeting of the representatives of media persons held on March 26 at Circuit House, Ludhiana. The meeting unanimously decided to get elect the Club's organisational structure in a democratic manner.
The meeting decided to constitute ad-hoc committee for giving a final shape to voters list for getting implemented the election process. In this regard, a 7-member ad-hoc committee comprising of Minna Zutshi (Tribune Group), Bhupinder Singh Bhatia (Dainik Jagran), Neeraj Menra Dainik Savera), Yashpal (Bhaskar), Amarpreet Singh Makkar (Daily Post), Surinder Dalla (electronic media) and Sunil Comrade (Punjab Kesari/Delhi) was formed.
Likewise, Parmeshar Singh, Kuldip Singh Kala and Varinder Kumar were unanimously chosen members for screening committee.
Ad=hock Committee would announce election programme of the Club within next fifteen days. prior to this, final shape would be given to the Club's constitution and membership list. Any journalist willing to contest election may participate in the election process.
Some journalists were not able to attend the meeting. However, they promised to extend their full support to the proceedings of the meeting held on May 26, 2017. The meeting among others was attended by Mohit Behl, rajesh Bhambi, Puneet Bawa, Rajesh Mehra, Karan Kapoor, Vipan Jand, Inderjit Verma, Gautam Jalandhari, Manoj Dhiman, Harjot Singh Arora, Raj Joshi, Sunil Jain, Balwinder Singh Boparai, Vivek Dhall, Gaurav Mahendru, Rupesh Kumar and Ajay Nepal.
