Spearheaded by the Examination Branch and facilitated by TCS (Confidential), the workshop aimed to propel the assimilation of cutting-edge technologies into examination-related procedures.

Chandigarh, December 13, 2023: The second and final day of the comprehensive training cum interactive workshop on the digitization of the examination process witnessed profound discussions and strategic improvements at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hall, Panjab University. Spearheaded by the Examination Branch and facilitated by TCS (Confidential), the workshop aimed to propel the assimilation of cutting-edge technologies into examination-related procedures.

The inaugural session, graced by the Vice-Chancellor and attended by the Registrar, underscored the pressing need for automating diverse examination processes. The Vice-Chancellor, in her address, lauded the examination branch's proactive initiative and emphasized the urgency to adopt new technologies to maintain competitiveness with peer universities.

The training team leader, recognizing the transformative potential of technology, outlined the advantages of crafting a singular, integrated solution capable of addressing the multifaceted requirements of examination processes. The first day of the workshop delved into collaborative sessions, focusing on identifying gaps and exploring the seamless integration of standalone systems previously developed by the examination branch. An exhaustive presentation showcased various portals within the examination branch, facilitating a comprehensive understanding and addressing queries from the resource team.

Day two of the workshop honed in on actively seeking solutions to the identified challenges. The participation of key stakeholders, including the Deputy Registrar Examinations, Assistant Registrar Examinations, and officials from various examination-related branches, surpassed 60 individuals. This diverse gathering contributed positively to interactive discussions and problem-solving sessions, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.

This workshop was like a melting pot where the Examination Branch and the training team worked together for making exams digital, better and faster. The resounding theme of the workshop centred on the imperative integration of standalone solutions and the robust automation of examination processes.
