Second Bhangra Gold Cup organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College
The second Bhangra Gold Cup was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Bhangra teams from different districts participated in it.

Jalandhar, February 22, 2025: The second Bhangra Gold Cup was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Bhangra teams from different districts participated in it.
On this occasion, famous folk singer and actor Sarabjit Cheema was the chief guest and Ekjot Kaur was the special guest. Speaking on the occasion the Principal of the college Dr. Suman Chopra said that Bhangra was the folk dance of Punjab and it was the duty of all Punjabis to promote and propagate it.
In his address Chief guest Sarabjit Cheema appreciated the effort made by the college in promoting Bhangra, and expressed special gratitude to the President Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur. In the competition, the first place was won by Government Mahindra College, Patiala, the second place by SECA Nawanshahr and the third place was jointly won by CT University Ludhiana and RIFAC Bhangra Academy Ludhiana.
The winning teams were awarded first prize of 1,25,000, second prize of 71,000 and third prize of 31,000 respectively.
On this occasion were present college Dean ECA Dr. Palwinder Singh, college Bhangra incharge Jatinder Lambad, Punjabi singer K.S. Makhan along with senior teachers of the college.
Surinder Kumar Chalotra P.A. to Principal, Prof. Surabjit Singh, Prof. Simranjit Singh were honored for his support in this Bhangra Gold Cup. Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Dean Sports, Dr. S.S. Bains, Dr. Harjit Singh HOD and Dr. Palwinder Singh Dean Cultural Affairs, college staff and a large number of students were also present on this occasion.
