Second day of 2nd Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Cricket Tournament


Players in action on second day of 2nd Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Cricket Tournament held at Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, December 9, 2014: On the 2nd Day of the 2nd Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Cricket Tournament, two Matches have been played PPS Bathinda Vs Chandigarh Baptist and Shivalik Muktsar Vs S.G.H.P Hoshiarpur here at Shahpur Campus of CT Group of Institutions, today.

In the First Match PPS Bathinda registered a 41 runs win over Chandigarh Baptist to make it to the next round. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss set a target of 141 runs in 20 overs, which in reply Chandigarh Baptist could not chase and the whole side scored only 100 runs out of 10 wickets.  Bhanu from PPS Bathinda was top scorer with 70 runs in 41 balls while Parmeet scored 40 runs in 33 balls. 

In the Second Match Shivalik Mukstar registered a win with 69 runs over S.G.H.P Hoshiarpur bagged. Shivalik Muktsar team scored 165 runs while batting first but the opponent time could not beat the total and scored 96 runs only. The top scorer of the match was Prabhjot Singh with 48 runs (Not Out) of Shivalik Mukstar team.

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the winning and participating for exhibiting best of their talent. The top two winning teams of the tournament will be felicitated with the prizes of worth Rs 31,000 and Rs 21,000 respectively.
