Second Day of Inter Zonal Youth Festival
Second Day of the Inter Zonal Youth Festival witnessed the benign presence of Hoshiarpur DC and many other esteemed personalities.

On the second day of the ongoing 63rd Panjab University Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival being held at Swami Premanand Mahavidyalaya Mukerian, several eminent and distinguished personalities were present at the event. The DC Hoshiarpur, Sandeep Hans (IAS) graced the event as a chief guest of the morning session. Principal Dr. Sameer Sharma welcomed illustrious guests and honoured them with momentos. The Secretary of the College Management Committee, Sanjeev Anand offered a heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest DC Hoshiarpur for his benign presence. Sandeep Hans applauded the college for their indefatigable efforts for putting together this 4-day extravaganza. He further said that these competitions help students to unleash their talent and polish their competitive skills. DC Hoshiarpur Sandeep, Kanwaljit Singh (SDM Mukerian ), Tehsildar Arvind Salwan, Dr. Rajesh Prasad (Manager, PNB Hoshiarpur Circle) and former manager RS Multani (Punjab National Bank), MC Mukerian Vinod Kumar, MC Vice-president Ashwani Saini, members of Municipal Corporation, Senators Inderpal Singh Sidhu and Sandeep Sikri were honoured by Rajan Makkar (President college management committee) and other management members. Ajit Narang, Senior Vice-president of the college managing committee, thanked all the dignitaries as well as the principals, teachers, participants and visitors from various colleges for attending the event. On this occasion, MLA Jangi Lal Mahajan was also present. On the first day of the Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival zone Jhelum (boys) and Sutlej ( girls) won first position in folk dance Luddi. Jhumar and Malwai Giddha (boys)and Sammi (girls) won by zones Kaveri, Narmada, and Alaknanda respectively. Zone Godavari and Chenab stole the show with Classical dance and General dance. In Group Shabad and Classical Vocal (zone Sutlej), Group Bhajan (zone Alaknanda) bagged first position. Apart from this, Narmada in Quiz, Yamuna in Heritage Quiz and Phulkari, Kaveri in Bagh, Chenab in Cross Stitch, Satluj in Knitting and Crochet, Narmada in Pakkhi Designing, Gomti in Mehndi, Jhelum in Essay Writing, Narmada in Story Writing, Jhelum in Poetry Writing, Sutlej in Hindi Handwriting, Alaknanda in Punjabi Handwriting and Narmada grabbed first position in English Handwriting.
