Second randomization of employees on counting exercise held
The second round of randomization of counting staff for the 2024 general elections took place on Monday in the office of District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney.
Ludhiana, June 3, 2024: The second round of randomization of counting staff for the 2024 general elections took place on Monday in the office of District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney.
The counting observers from Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib Parliamentary Constituencies, including Ms. S Anita (Ludhiana South, Atam Nagar), Sharafudden E (Ludhiana Central, Ludhiana West, and Jagraon), Puneet Sharma (Gill), Rakesh Shankar (Bassi Pathana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, and Amargarh), Babita Mohanty (Khanna and Raikot), Saurav Kumar Sinha (Samrala, Sahnewal, and Payal), and Divya Mittal (Ludhiana East, Ludhiana North, and Dakha) (who joined the meeting virtually), were present during the randomization.
The randomization involved a total of 813 counting staff, including counting supervisors, counting assistants, and micro-observers.
The District Election Officer stated that the randomization of counting staff for the Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib Parliament constituencies was completed transparently through online NIC software.
On June 4, the counting of the votes for the Ludhiana Parliamentary Constituency will be held in PAU (Ludhiana South, Atam Nagar, Ludhiana East, Ludhiana North, and Dakha, Ludhiana Central, Ludhiana West, and Jagraon assembly segments) and SRS Polytechnic College (only Gill assembly segment), while the counting of the five assembly segments (Khanna, Samrala, Sahnewal, Payal, and Raikot) under Fatehgarh Sahib Parliamentary Constituency will be held in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College.
The final randomization for the allotment of Tables in the counting hall to these Counting Supervisors/Counting Assistants/Micro Observers will be done on Tuesday before the counting.
