Ferozepur, December 25, 2012: BSF Battalion 117 Commandant Phalianwala said, BSF was getting a tip-off that in village Kamal Balel in Jalalabad that one person has dumped heroin in his fields.
Working on this information, in a joint operation by DSP Baljit Singh of police station Guruharsahai and Harpal Singh, SHO, arrested Harmesh Singh and recovered 3 Kg of heroin having value of Rs.15 crore in the international market.
He further said that during the investigation it has come on surface that this consignment of heroin was to be passed on to Baghicha Singh of village Shamshadeed in Farzilka district
