Selection of candidates for dairy entrepreneurship training courses on Nov 8

Ludhiana, October 31, 2019: In a bid to impart training to the farmers besides offering specialised training module on the various aspects of dairy development to the youth, the Dairy Training and Extension Centre, Bija (Ludhiana) is running several courses for the youth.
Mr Dilbagh Singh Hans, Deputy Director Dairy, Ludhiana-cum-Incharge, Dairy Training and Extension Centre, Bija, informed that a detailed training programme has been chalked out on different topics ranging from breed improvement, value addition of milk, Nutrition/Feeding Management, care and maintenance of milch animals etc. He said that the selection of candidates for Dairy Entrepreneurship Training Course to be held at Bija would be held at 10 am on November 8, 2019.
He informed that experts in the field of dairying from the department, besides the faculty of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana share their experience with the dairy farmers and young aspirants desirous of opting dairy as profession. He said that films related to dairy profession are also shown to the selected candidates and they are also taken to dairy farms of progressive farmers. The candidates, who successfully complete the training programme, loan is also provided to them for setting up their own business related to dairy.
