Chandigarh, May 24, 2022: Seven Day Self Defence Training kick-started today at Government Home Science College, Chandigarh. The training is aimed at instilling confidence among girls to defend themselves against anti-social elements and also to facilitate their overall personality development.
The initiative has been taken by the NSS & NCC Units of the college in collaboration with the Women & Child Support Unit, Chandigarh under the dynamic leadership of the Principal of the college, Prof.Sudha Katyal. She also emphasized the significance of conducting such training camps and highlighted increased cases of eve-teasing, rape, and other atrocities on young women in present times.
Prof. Katyal further urged girls to make use of this opportunity and learn various techniques so as to protect themselves against anti-social elements in society.
