Seminar and Rally on AIDS Awareness

The NSS units and Red Ribbon Club of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organized a seminar in the college's seminar hall and a rally in the village of Sudhar on January 10, to raise awareness about AIDS. The events aimed to educate participants about the disease, including its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment. Sixty volunteers, including Red Ribbon Club students and community members, attended the event.

Ludhiana, January 11, 2025: The NSS units and Red Ribbon Club of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organized a seminar in the college's seminar hall and a rally in the village of Sudhar on January 10, to raise awareness about AIDS. The events aimed to educate participants about the disease, including its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment. Sixty volunteers, including Red Ribbon Club students and community members, attended the event.

The session was inaugurated by Budh Singh, Director of Training at Ek Boond NGO, who emphasized the importance of AIDS awareness and provided comprehensive insights into the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of the disease. The participants actively engaged in the session, with the speaker posing several questions to enhance their understanding.

The second speaker, S. Amrik Singh, discussed the psychological impact of AIDS on individuals and its effect on their overall well-being. Both sessions encouraged participants to adopt safe practices and helped dispel common myths about the disease. Charanjit Singh Gill, Harmail Singh Gill, Inderjit Singh Gill, and Avtar Singh Gill were also present during the event.

Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh delivered the vote of thanks, while Gursharan Kaur managed the stage proceedings. NSS Coordinators Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Prof. Pawanveer Singh, and Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur were also present at the event.

After the guest lectures, a rally was conducted in the adopted village of Sudhar. The rally aimed to spread awareness about AIDS among the local community. Students also performed a skit highlighting the causes, symptoms, and prevention of AIDS. The Sarpanch and other members of the Panchayat warmly welcomed the teachers and students, expressing their gratitude for organizing the rally and skit in their village.
