Chandigarh, November 21, 2023: Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing a seminar cum workshop entitled “Recent trends in basic and applied nuclear physics” during 22-23 November.
The workshop aims to discuss important results from recent experimental and theoretical results performed in nuclear Physics in India and to train various methods of nuclear physics research to young research scholar and post graduate students. .
Around 20 invited speakers from all over India will deliver the talk. 30 research scholars of the north India and 50 local post graduate students from the department will be participating in this programme. There will be 14 oral presentations and 20 poster presentations by the students,
The inauguration shall take place on 22nd November at 10:00 A.M. in the Physics Department Prof. B.M. Anand Auditorium.
Prof. Navdeep Goyal, Dean science, Panjab University will preside over the inauguration programme.
Dr. S. Muralithar from IUAC, New Delhi will deliver the key note address.
