Seminar entitiled ‘Impossible is Nothing’ held in Doaba College
Doaba College Jalandhar's Disha@DCJ Committee organized a motivational lecture on ‘Impossible is Nothing’ in association with Rotary Club of Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, October 10, 2022: Doaba College Jalandhar's Disha@DCJ Committee organized a motivational lecture on ‘Impossible is Nothing’ in association with Rotary Club of Jalandhar. The guest of the day Major D.P. Singh was accompanied by Major General Vijay Pandey, Col. R.M.S. Sandhu, Nupur Sandhu (President Rotary Club) and Dr. Vijay Oberoi (Secretary, Rotary Club) who was given a hearty welcome by Principal Pardeep Bhandari, Dr. Ominder Johal, Prof. Sukhvinder Singh, Dr. Suresh Mago and Prof. Rahul Bhardwaj with a sapling. The program began with lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries being followed by Doaba Jai Gaan. Prof. Priya Chopra conducted the stage.
Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari while addressing Major D.P. Singh stated that ‘A real life hero’ motivates the youth far better than ‘A reel life hero’ and said that his visit to Doaba College is a matter of honor. He said that the life will be hard, there will be turmoils, there will be trails but that will only make you stronger and presented Major D.P. Singh before the audience and handed over the stage to the living legend. Major D.P. Singh began with slogans for the motherland “Jai Hind’. After that the whole of the auditorium was echoing with two magical words ‘I CAN’ given by the Major to attain heights in life. He gave a brief description how he fought for life and death and proved himself ‘Still Able’ to those who called him ‘disable’ even when he lost his leg and became a marathon runner and later the first disabled sky diver. He added running away from the situations make you weak and facing them mould you into the best version of you. He sated that paradise can be created on the earth only with your judicious decisions and by taking spiritual inspirations. From ‘Bhagwat Geeta’ and ‘Gurbani’. Students opened their heart with Major D.P. Singh and after that Tejas, of B.Com. induced all with the feeling of patriotism by singing a melodious patriotic song.
At last Major D.P. Singh was honored with a token of love by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari. Prof. Sukhvinder Singh gave the thanks note and the program was brought to an end with the National Anthem.
