A seminar on "How to Prepare for Civil Services Exam" was organized at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan for the final year students of university.
Khanpur Kalan, February 9: 2024: A seminar on "How to Prepare for Civil Services Exam" was organized at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan for the final year students of university.
The seminar was conducted by the University Placement and Counseling Placement Cell (UPACC) and University Centre for Competitive Examination (UCCE) in collaboration with Drishti IAS. Vice Chancellor of Women's University, Prof. Sudesh congratulated UPACC and UCCE for organizing this seminar for skill development of students.
Prashant Sharma, an experienced educator and Abhishek Gautam, faculty and Interview Panelist were present as keynote speakers. Deputy Director, UPACC Dr. Anshu Bhardwaj welcomed the speakers. She said that the objective of this seminar was to increase the knowledge and necessary skills for competitive exams. About 300 final year girl students of various university teaching departments participated in this seminar.
In the first session, Prashant Sharma told the girl students about the need and importance of developing soft skills, especially for civil services. He described capacity building, effective communication, teamwork and leadership skills as important for personal and professional development. In the second session, Abhishek Gautam shared strategies for academic success, what to study and how to study. He also emphasized on keeping oneself updated on current affairs and effective knowledge acquisition. He told the students about the broad structure of UPSC, the powers and responsibilities that come with civil services. He also shared necessary tips to excel in the UPSC exam. The session ended with speakers answering the questions of the participants.
Director, UCCE Lt. Col. (Dr) Anil Balhara expressed the vote of thanks. The stage was conducted by Amisha, a student of the English department. Dr. Anand and other professors and students were present on this occasion.
