Seminar on Financial Markets

Chandigarh, August 30, 2023: The Entrepreneur and Corporate Relation Cell (ECRC) of University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized “Seminar on Financial Markets”.
 

On day one, the resource person was Pankaj Singal, Chief Data Officer, Goldman Sachs, United States of America.  Pankaj Singhal shared his insights and experiences with the students providing valuable information and guidance on navigating the complex world of financial markets. He covered a range of topics related to financial markets, including the impact of global economic trends on financial markets, role of financial institutions in shaping financial markets, importance of risk management in financial markets and the future of financial markets and emerging trends.
 

On day two, the resource person was Chander Nath Pandey from Multi Commodity Exchange, New Delhi. Chander Nath Pandey highlighted the importance and trends in Commodity markets. He provided an in-depth analysis of the commodity market and shared his insights on the current trends and future prospects of MCX, operations and practices of MCX, clearing, settlement, and delivery procedures and investor services offered by MCX.

 
Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS extended the formal welcome.   Dr. Manu Sharma, coordinator of the Seminar headed interactive session allowing participants to engage with the speaker. The sessions provided an opportunity for participants to share their views and experiences, and to learn from each other. Overall, the sessions were highly informative and interactive, with participants engaging in lively discussions and asking questions. The seminar was a great success, providing participants with valuable insights and knowledge on financial markets.
