Chandigarh, November 23, 2022: PG Department of Tourism and Hotel Management and Placement and Industry Interface Cell of Doaba College organized seminar on Placement in Hotel Industry.
In this seminar more than 50 students participated. Dr. Pardeep Bhandari Principal said that its aim was to provide career guidance and placement opportunities available for the final year students. They were also apprised about various future career options available in the industry.
In this session The Resource person, Devinder Kumar-Capstone Education, Mumbai guided the students about the Career options are available for students in Tourism and Hospitality sectors. He also guided them about the further process for their internship programmes in India (Punjab, Delhi, Hydrabad, Mumbai Begaluru etc.) and abroad (Dubai, Singapore, Canada, Australia and Mauritius) as well.
Dr. Pardeep Bhandari Principal Doaba College congratulated the students and faculty members of THM department for organizing such workshops and also highlighted the importance of these seminars in making students industry ready. Prof Rajesh Kumar (HOD) shared some tips regarding their career options with the student of hotel management.
Dr. Amarjit Singh also shared the scope and benefits of industrial training that helps in enhancing career options for students. Prof. Varun Mahajan, Prof. Pardeep Kumar , Prof. Komal Rani and Lab Tech. Harpreet of PG Dept. of THM Department were the part of this event.
