Series of events organised as part 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji

Ludhiana, November 3, 2019: The Ludhiana Citizen Welfare Society in collaboration with Omaxe Limited organized weeklong celebrations from October 25 to November 3 at Omaxe Royal Residency
The celebrations were held as a part of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The concluding ceremony was held today.
During these celebrations, a huge marathon was organised. Marathon was participated by more than 500 athletes.
Three-day-long sports carnivalwas also held. Various sports competitions were organized during this carnival. More than 1500 children participated in the events such as basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, skating, cycle race and athletic.
Akhand Path Sahib were attended by huge gathering of persons from all over religion and showed unity. Langar sewa was also organised.
The extravaganza ceremonies spread over a week came to an end today with Shabad Kirtan by Hazoori Ragi from Darbar Sahib Bhai Dalbir Singh ji, Kirtan by Sukhmani Sewa Society Omaxe, Shabad by Kids from Sur Gyan Music Academy and Kirtan by Bhai Amritpal Singh ji.
Kuldeep Singh Vaid, MLA and Simarjit Singh Bains were honoured.
Vineet Handa, President, Ludhiana Citizen Welfare Society addressed the function. His team members were honoured with mementoes by Guest of Honour.
Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji was remembered in the ceremony.
Such a wonderful event was conceptualized and coordinated by Kuljit Singh Sebia Chairman, Vineet Handa President, Gorki ( Secretary ), Pankaj Saxena, Arun Grover, Rajinder Singh Dhawan, Paramjit Singh Bhatia, Vipin Jain, Amritpal Singh, Puja Handa, Sonia Verma, and members of Omaxe Ladies Club. Dr Bhalla has supported the entire event with his medical team.
