Jalandhar, January 18, 2016: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar’s Department of Sanskrit in collaboration with Vedic Research Centre began a series of lectures on Vedas began a series of lectures on Vedas. These lectures have been sponsored by Mahrishi Sandipini Rashtriya Ved Pratishthan (HRD Ministry Govt. of India). Principal  Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated the lectures. Speaking on the special occasion she elaborated on the importance of Vedas in our daily life. She stressed that Vedas contained the knowledge which could make a man a total complete human being. She also spoke about the effect of Vedic Culture on the other nations of the world with many examples. Ideas according to her were the most powerful in the world. On the research by the Rishis of the past, she said that their research covered all the aspects of our world. In continuation with these series of lectures Prof. Udyan (principal, Guru Virdajanand Smarak, Kartarpur) also delivered a lecture. Speaking on Vedas he said that we should know the meanings of mantras chanted and then try to inculcate them in our lives. Prof. Vinod Kumar from Lovely Professional University spoke about Agni Sukti, Purush Sukti, Dev Sukti, Bhumi Sukti and Shivsankalp Sukti. Dr. Madhumeet, Ms. Ashima Sahni, Ms. Seema Arora, Ms. Anupam, Ms. Paramjit, Ms. Anupam and Ms. Rajni were present on the occasion.
