Seven thousand single and widow women will get grant for house construction: Bali
In a cheque distribution ceremony held at Nagrota Bagwan, Tourism Corporation Chairman RS Bali, who held the rank of a cabinet minister, announced that the state government would provide a grant of Rs 1.5 lakh each to 7,000 widows and single women for the construction of houses. This initiative aims to empower women and help them improve their economic conditions.
Dharamsala, July 15, 2023: In a cheque distribution ceremony held at Nagrota Bagwan, Tourism Corporation Chairman RS Bali, who held the rank of a cabinet minister, announced that the state government would provide a grant of Rs 1.5 lakh each to 7,000 widows and single women for the construction of houses. This initiative aims to empower women and help them improve their economic conditions.
During the ceremony, cheques amounting to Rs 7,29,000 were distributed to 32 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana and Beti Hai Anmol Yojana.
RS Bali emphasised the importance of strengthening self-help groups and facilitating the sale of products made by women to enhance the economic condition of these groups. The event was attended by various officials, including SDM Manish Sharma, BDO Rajesh Singh, and Child Development Project Officer Sanjay Kumar, among others.
