Sharma welcomed suggestions sought by government and appreciated move of Transport Department

Chandigarh, July 29,2024: NISA National President and Federation of Private Schools Welfare Association State President Kulbhushan Sharma welcomed the suggestions sought by the government and appreciated the move of the Transport Department.

NISA National President and Federation of Private Schools Welfare Association President Mr. Kulbhushan Sharma welcomed the suggestions sought by the government and appreciated the move of the Transport Department. He said that providing safe vehicles to the children is a collective work of the government, parents, and school administration. There is a need for everyone to make united efforts to provide safe and affordable transport service to the students.

Kulbhushan Sharma demanded from the government that just as subsidy is provided to the ambulance service, subsidy should also be provided on school vehicles. Apart from this, he also appealed to waive the GST imposed by the Central Government and the tax levied by the State Government.  He believes that this step will provide safe transport service to children at a low cost, so that maximum measures can be taken for their safety.

Sharma also said that school buses are not a means of earning, but it is a facility provided to bring students to school and take them home safely. Therefore, the government should also provide loan facility for school buses at low interest rates. With this kind of assistance, the operation of school buses will be more safe and smooth.

He said that all the schools in Haryana are ready to follow the government's safe vehicle policy. Along with this, he urged the government to provide a safe environment to the school principals and ensure their safety, provided that the schools are following all the rules. Kulbhushan Sharma said that such a joint initiative will provide safe and affordable transport service to the students, which will make their educational experience even better.
