Shawl Club of India’s prominent member and Shingora Textiles Director Amit Jain, being conferred State Award by Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal during the state-level Independence Day function held at Ludhiana on Thursday.

Ludhiana, August 16, 2013: Shawl Club of India’s prominent member and Shingora Textiles Director Amit Jain, has been conferred State Award by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal during the state-level Independence Day function held here on Thursday.

This award has been conferred to Amit Jain for excellence in the field of business and contribution towards Corporate Social Responsibility.

Amit Jain after completing his education and internship abroad joined the family enterprise and singlehandedly initiated the process to migrate the family handloom shawl business to a technology and system driven modern enterprise. He has attained great heights of success in the business of textile manufacturing and export in the last 16 years where his company has grown 60 times of what it was becoming the market leader in fashion accessories particularly women’s wear business.

Currently spearheading future strategy and developmental activity of the business he believes strongly in contributing back to the society in terms of socially responsible initiatives.

He is highly involved with various employee training and development initiatives, has continuously encouraged upliftment of women in the workforce and is dedicatedly involved in charitable issues for education of the girl child. In an individual capacity as well as through various programmes conducted by CII and other organizations he holds key positions to contribute regularly to society and is considered a good resource for local and regional industry related issues by the government and the media.
