Attari (Amritsar), June 14, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Amit Talwar inaugurated the shooting of the upcoming Documentary Film titled, “Attari Junction – A 161 year old Historic Railway Station” at the Attari Railway Station, Amritsar, this Film will portray Historical rich architecture of this 161 year old Attari Railway Station which is a blend of Indo-Islamic and Victorian architectural styles, arches, and ornate facades showcasing aura of grandeur and elegance of the architectural marvel of bygone era and has seldom been highlighted in any of the Heritage documentary films. This Documentary film is being Directed by Punjab’s eminent Author, Heritage Promoter & Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu under the patronage of Sewa Sankalp Society and the script of the Documentary film has been written by Atul Tirkey, Deputy Commissioner Customs, Attari ,dialogues - lyrics penned by the famous Poet Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar 


Today during the commencement of shooting of the short Film, “Attari Junction – A 161 year old Historic Railway Station” began with the clap board Mahurat shot by Member Parliament Amritsar Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Vice Chancellor  Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Amit Talwar, Chief Principal Commissioner Income Tax Parneet Sachdev,Addl. Commissioner Customs Joginder Singh, Jt. Commissioner Customs Navneet Kaushal, Deputy Commissioner Customs Atul Tirkey, AIPL Shamsheer Singh and other Land Customs officers were present during the commencement  of shooting of film at Attari Railway Station.  
   

Director of upcoming Documentary Film Harpreet Sandhu stated that the shooting of this Film on Attari Railway Station will highlight the prominence of this seldom visited traditional Heritage Railway station of India which connects the railway journey of two nations and is at the last stretch of the Indo – Pak Border and the necessary permission for shooting of the Documentary film has been obtained from Northern Railway, New Delhi and Land Customs Attari.
