Short film made by UST employees wins two Prathidhwani Qisa film festival awards
Sneha Vannu, a short film made by UST employees, has won two awards at the Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival (PQFF).
Thiruvananthapuram, January 31, 2024: Sneha Vannu, a short film made by UST employees, has won two awards at the Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival (PQFF).
The short film won the Special Jury mention for Film and the Viewers’ Choice Award at the Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival 2023. Sneha Vannu is a comical take on the life of a tech professional. Written and directed by Sandeep Chandran, the short film has two characters played by Rishikesh Radhakrishnan and Nijin Raveendran. The cinematography was by Sreepad Chandran. Sandeep Chandran, Rishikesh Radhakrishnan, Nijin Raveendran, and Sreepad Chandran are from the UST campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
Prathidhwani Qisa is an annual film festival organized by Prathidhwani, a Welfare Organization of IT Employees in Kerala. The festival is seen as a prominent platform for IT employees to showcase their filmmaking talents. The Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival celebrated its 12th edition this year.
Year after year, the Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival has been attracting participants from over 350 IT companies in Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram Technopark, Kochi Infopark, and Kozhikode Cyber Park. Over the years, PQFF has premiered more than 400 short films, all of them made by technology professionals.
