Short term course at human resource development centre PU

Chandigarh, October 11, 2019: A short term course on “Research Methodology” was inaugurated today i.e. 11th October, 2019 at UGC- Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh by Prof K.C.Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Professor Sharma in his inaugural address emphasized that we need faculty training programmes, so that we can continuously remain connected to our real selves and to quench our thirst for more knowledge. These platforms are known for the opportunity of ‘Deliberations’ where we discuss, debate, argue and finally reach to a consensus. He said that teachers should be joyful beings so that students coming in contact with them correct their defects and become joyful themselves. He wished the teachers well for their careers and hoped that they should fulfil the expectations, hopes and desires of the society.
Professor S.K. Tomar, Honorary Director, UGC - Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh highlighted the changes in the history of Research Methodology brought up due to the impact of technology. He said that now, much less time is required for data analysis, calculations and even for paper publications. The time thus saved should be utilized in bringing in quality into the research. He motivated the teachers to learn more and more from such training programmes. 30 faculty members from state of Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh.
