Shreyansh Jain of Innocent Hearts School, Cantt Jandiala Road excels in Chess Championship

Shreyansh Jain, a student of Innocent Hearts School Cantt Jandiala Road, has made the school proud by winning the Punjab School State Chess Championship in the Under-13 (Open) category. He has been selected for the National School Chess Championship to be held in Andhra Pradesh.

Jalandhar, January 22, 2025: Shreyansh Jain, a student of Innocent Hearts School Cantt Jandiala Road, has made the school proud by winning the Punjab School State Chess Championship in the Under-13 (Open) category. He has been selected for the National School Chess Championship to be held in Andhra Pradesh.

Shreyansh also secured the first position in the Under-14 category (boys) at the "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan" state-level tournament, where he was awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000 by the Punjab government.

Adding another feather to his cap, Shreyansh participated in the International Classical FIDE Rated Chess Tournament held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, where he secured 36 rating points and was awarded a cash prize of ₹5,500 along with a medal. In this tournament, Shreyansh ranked 37th in the All India Ranking among 647 participants.

Shreyansh also emerged as the runner-up in the Under-14 category at a two-day chess tournament held in Chandigarh, where he was awarded a cash prize of ₹2,100 and a trophy.

On this occasion, the school management and Principal, Sonali, congratulated Shreyansh Jain on his achievement and wished him all the best for his future endeavours.
