Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival celebrated in Innocent Hearts: love for Krishna in air
In the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road), the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great faith, reverence and gaiety.
Jalandhar, August 18, 2022: In the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road), the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great faith, reverence and gaiety. A special assembly was organized on this occasion. A cradle was festooned with fresh flowers for the Balgopal. It was the centre of special attraction. The little children of Innokids, who came dressed in the guise of Krishna and the gopis, fascinated everyone. The students of the Symphony Club sang the bhajan 'O Palanhare'. Children danced to the bhajans of Shri Krishna and made the whole atmosphere Krishnamayi. While enacting the childhood leelas of Shri Krishna, one of the groups of the students presented the friendship of Krishna and Sudama, while the other one showed the Leela of lifting the Govardhan mountain. The students showed the slaughter of Kaliya Nag through dance performances, Matki Fodi and Rasleela of Vrindavan were also shown. The enactments based on Krishna Leelas enthralled everyone. Prasad was distributed at the end of the program. Principals of the respective schools congratulated the children on Shri Krishna Janmashtami and asked them to follow the path of Karma shown by Shri Krishna.
On this occasion, Deputy Director of Cultural Affairs of Innocent Hearts Group, Mrs. Sharmila Nakra said that the purpose of conducting such activities is to connect the children with roots of the Indian culture and to imbibe cultural values, and spiritual values in them.
