A special prop with 10 hands for the judge whose hands mostly do the talking

Ever noticed how DID 4 Judge Shruti Merchant talks as much with her hands as she does with her mouth? When it’s time to give any of the contestants feedback on their performances, out come those over-active hands and Shruti puts them to the most animated use, delivering every line with multiple gesticulations and hand gestures to enunciate her point. So much so that her hands seem to take on their own identity, almost as if they were an altogether different person. There are jokes galore on the sets amongst the crew and fellow judges about Shruti and her use of hands!

Taking this one step ahead, the creative team, in close conspiracy with Grandmaster Mithun Da came up with a special prop for Shruti to wear that had the audience in splits! They designed a prop to be mounted on Shruti’s back that had 5 hands sticking out from both her sides … So, when Mithun Da called her up on stage, Shruti had no choice but to wear this prop that made her resemble Durga Maa… All this tomfoolery played out in a special wild-card entry episode where the Top 10 finalists will be arrived at and public voting will begin to select the winner of DID 4… Raghav ‘Crockroaz’ Juyal, who made history on DID 3 with his slow-mo moves was specially called back to be a part of the Season 4 Wild Card entry episode.

Raghav’s dance with Shruti and her 10 hands to the song ‘Mere Haath Mein Tera Haath Ho’ had the studio audience falling out of their chairs laughing! Adding insult to Shruti’s injuries, Raghav took one look at her and called her the ‘Ninja Chachi’! Raghav, with his trademark inimitable style that rocked Season 3, was clearly a role model for the current contestants of Season 4. His jamming session with Delhi boy & King of Swag’, Manan, was an explosive celebration of Hip Hop and had the audiences begging for an encore!
