Jhajjar, May 19, 2024: Shweta Hooda, wife of Rohtak LS Congress candidate Deepender Singh Hooda came out to campaign for her husband and addressed several election meetings today at Jhajjar. She was accompanied by Jhajjar MLA Geeta Bhukkal.
Shweta met rural women of the constituency who expressed huge anger regarding Agniveer scheme. The women said children working under the scheme would not even be able to get married after working for four years. She assured that this scheme will be ended when the Congress government is formed.
Shweta also said women will be given financial assistance of Rs 8,500 per month, or one lakh annually, when the Congress government is formed. She added that consumers will get LPG cylinder for ₹ 500, to provide some relief from rising prices.
In her address, Geeta Bhukkal called upon the people that they should vote for Congress this time to save the Constitution, and the future of their children. “BJP wants to trap the youth in caste-religion politics. That is why they are being made unemployment as part of a conspiracy. BJP is closing government schools and making education expensive, to deprive children of education,” she said.
“BJP knows very well that only unemployed and illiterate people will become victims of its caste-religion politics, but the conscious and aware people of Rohtak will not become victims of this conspiracy and will give each and every vote to Deepender Hooda,” she added.
