In a commendable effort to promote environmental sustainability and green campus initiatives, the Office of the Dean, College Development Council, successfully conducted a significant plantation drive on Friday around Rajiv Gandhi College Bhawan, Panjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, August 9, 2024: In a commendable effort to promote environmental sustainability and green campus initiatives, the Office of the Dean, College Development Council, successfully conducted a significant plantation drive on Friday around Rajiv Gandhi College Bhawan, Panjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Renu Vig who served as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Vice-Chancellor, while addressing the participants, said that today’s drive is a step towards creating a greener and healthier environment for our university community. It is heartening to see such active involvement from everyone, and I hope this spirit continues to grow.
The event was also attended by Registrar Prof. Y.P.Verma, Director R&D Prof. Harsh Nayyar, DSW Prof. Amit Chauhan, DIS Prof. Kewal Krishan and Co-ordinator NSS Prof- Praveen Goyal, alongside staff members of Dean College Development Council and Colleges branch who actively participated in planting variety of native trees and shrubs.
Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Dean of the College Development Council, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, authorities of Panjab University and department of Horticulture of the University for their support and participation.
