Signing Ceremony of an MoU between IIPA, New Delhi and PU
The Panjab University, Chandigarh and Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to confer the degree of "Executive Masters in Public Administration and Public Policy" to the successful participants of Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA).

Chandigarh May 8, 2023: The Panjab University, Chandigarh and Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to confer the degree of "Executive Masters in Public Administration and Public Policy" to the successful participants of Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA). The signing ceremony took place on May 8, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the VCCR, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The event was graced by eminent personalities from both institutions. Sh. S.N. Tripathi, Director General, IIPA, New Delhi; Sh. Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar, IIPA, New Delhi and Prof. Suresh Misra, IIPA, New Delhi graced the event. Prof.RenuVig, worthy Vice-Chancellor; Prof.Rumina Sethi, Dean of University Instruction(DUI); Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director, Research and Development Cell and Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar represented Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Rumina Sethi, DUI, welcomed the guests. Dr.Bharati Garg, Chairperson, Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh introduced the background of the MoU and elaborated upon the long and deep relationship between the Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh and IIPA, New Delhi.
Prof. Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor presented the vision of the MoU and suggested that the students of Panjab University should benefit from this partnership through visits to IIPA, internships and joint seminars. Sh. S.N. Tripathi, Director-General, Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, presented the IIPA's perspective on the MoU. He suggested starting of short term courses, three days visit and interaction of APPPA participants with students and faculty of the University. Prof. Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh, presented souvenirs to the guests.
During the interaction, Prof. B.S. Ghuman, Chairman, IIPA Punjab & Chandigarh Regional Branch, Prof. Ramanjit K. Johal, Prof. Anil Monga and faculty of the Department of Public Administration shared different ideas/avenues of taking this collaboration further.
The MoU was signed by the Registrars of both the Institutions. Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh, presented the formal Vote of Thanks.
