Site of Ludhiana City Centre project to be converted into Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Government Hospital: MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi
Says will take up this issue with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann & AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal
Ludhiana, March 29, 2022: Ludhiana (West) MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today informed that the site of Ludhiana City Centre project in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar area of city will be converted into a government hospital. He said that he would take up this matter with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on priority basis and would also submit a detailed proposal in this regard.
Gogi today visited the office of Ludhiana Improvement Trust in Feroze Gandhi Market, here today and directed the staff to discharge their duties in a corruption free atmosphere.
He also sought information on the status of Ludhiana City Centre project, downtown market in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Orient Cinema, HJ Block of BRS Nagar, XYZ blocks of Rishi Nagar, commercial complex on Rani Jhansi Road, a private school in Sarabha Nagar that is allegedly being used as commercial entity etc. He directed the LIT officers to study all these projects in detail and submit a report on next Tuesday.
He said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government is focussing mainly on education and health, besides providing a corruption-free atmosphere to public. He said that at present, the LIT is having Rs 150 crore in hand and all these funds will be used for development of our Ludhiana.
He again reiterated that any person indulging in corruption would not be spared and residents can complain on government action line 9501200200 in case any person asks for bribe in lieu of any work. MLA Gogi said that soon, he would also be issuing a special number for Ludhiana Residents where they can submit their complaints.
Earlier, MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi also visited the recently opened elevated road on Ferozepur Road, here. He specially thanked Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma for taking up this matter with NHAI officials, after which this elevated road was thrown open to public. He assured that in the coming days, all major ongoing development projects would be completed and dedicated to common man.
