Ludhiana, Ju;y 21, 2023: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bathinda organised ten days skill oriented vocational training course on Preparation of value added products out of waste material and painting techniques w.e.f. July 10-21.
The programme started with welcome address by Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Deputy Director (Trg.) , KVK Bathinda . He oriented the participant about the need of skill based training courses for the rural youth. Twenty four trainees from different villages – Raike kalan, Jodhpur romana, Phullo khari, Sukhladi, Jagat singh wala, Thathi Bhai, Mohallan, Chuge kalan, Gheri buttar, Karmati, Naruana, Joganand and Bharu participated in this training course. They were made aware of the latest techniques in fabric painting. They also acquired the skill to enrich the garment & household linens with various other techniques like block & stencil printing etc.
Trainees were enlightened about the use of leftover fabric paints to decorate the pots, empty bottles & boxes etc. Mirror painting was also demonstrated to the trainees .
Course coordinator Jaswinder Kaur Brar, Assoc. Prof.( H. Sc.) motivated the trainees to start their own venture to supplement their family income. At the concluding day, trainees exhibited the articles prepared by them during the training.
