Smart City Dharamshala to be enhanced by Rs 334 crore: Rakesh Pathania
Says special efforts are being made for the planned development and beautification of important cities and towns in the state
Dharamshala: Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania said that projects worth Rs 334 crore are being implemented to develop Dharamshala as a smart city. In addition, plans are being prepared for projects worth Rs 296 crore.
The Forest Minister was speaking in the Dharamshala Assembly constituency today. Pathania said that special efforts are being made for the planned development and beautification of important cities and towns in the state. Under which priority is being given to develop parking lots so that better facilities can be provided to the tourists.
He said, “Dharamshala Municipal Corporation is on the path of development and the works started here are being given momentum. emphasis is being laid on providing better facilities of electricity, drinking water, recycling, health and education to the people.”
Pathania said that under Smart City, work on 28 projects worth Rs 181 crore is in progress and tenders for 6 projects worth 41 crore have been invited. Whose work will also be started soon. He said that work has already been completed on 10 projects by convergence with other departments at a cost of Rs 74 crore. He said that to make the city smart, 7000 LED street lights will be installed at a cost of Rs 24.92 crore for which tenders have been invited.
He said that the State Government is committed to the proper development of urban and rural areas.
On this occasion, local MLA Vishal Naihria, state media in-charge Rakesh Sharma, Councilor Vishal Jambal, Secretary Vishal Chauhan, Executive Engineer Municipal Corporation SS Parmar, Regional Manager HRTC Pankaj Chaddha and officials from various departments and some other dignitaries were present.
