For any actor, acting is so much more than just learning a few lines and repeating them convincingly for hours in front of the camera. To get into the skin of the character, actors often take up various activities to ensure they bring out the essence right. Actors usually have their own ways of prepping for a role, and one of them is well-known television face Sneha Wagh who has portrayed many challenging characters in the past and has captivated the audiences with her performances. Wagh will now be seen portraying the role of Goddess Anjana in &TV’s Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram. Goddess Anjana was born on Earth as a Vanara Princess and married Lord Kesarii. Vayu, The God of Wind, carried the divine power of Lord Shiva to Anjana's womb, and thus Hanuman was born as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Stepping into this divine avatar, Wagh revealed her secrets to playing the character with finesse. To do so, she has been taking intense yoga classes for the role since the past two months before the cameras start rolling for the show.

Yoga in it’s simple form is known to relax not just the body but the mind too, and intense yoga is a process of an intense yoga session that helps strengthen the muscles and improves flexibility and focus. Talking about opting this routine in preparation for her character Sneha said, “I have played various kinds of characters like traditional, modern and historical, but I feel that playing a mythological role is arguably the most challenging. There are too many factors that have to be considered, connecting with the character in a spiritual way is what I feel most importantly. Stepping into the divine avatar of a Goddess, the first thing that comes to mind is their Godly perfection and one can’t risk going wrong maintaining the same demeanour. I have extensively researched on the benefits of intense yoga and I felt that this would certainly help significantly in playing this divine character - the Mother of all powerful Hanuman. I also feel that yoga can reverse so many health disorders that working out in a gym can’t. Regardless of the time constraints that arise from shooting back-to-back, travelling and working around the clock, I make sure to never miss my workout. You need to take care of your body till a certain period of time. After that, your body will take care of itself. These kind of intense yoga sessions not only give you confidence but also adds aesthetic sense.”

Kahat Hanuman…Jai Shri Ram is a captivating story of ‘devotee’ and ‘devotion.’ Considered as the epitome of ‘Bhakti’ and an incarnation of the powerful and supreme Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman was created as the most powerful being on Earth with a certain purpose and potential. The show will bring out a fresh perspective on one of the greatest Indian Gods. It depicts the many unexplored sides of Lord Hanuman while conveying relevant, contemporary messages leaving a smile behind.
