SOCA 2023 organized at DMCH DAY 2
The Department of Anatomy, DMC&H, Ludhiana, organised a 3 day World congress of Clinical Anatomists and 11th annual meeting of clinical Anatomists from 2-4th February.
Ludhiana, February 3, 2023: The Department of Anatomy, DMC&H, Ludhiana, organised a 3 day World congress of Clinical Anatomists and 11th annual meeting of clinical Anatomists from 2-4th February.
The academic feast includes a preconference workshop conducted by Dr Ashwani Kumar Chaudhary (DMC&H, Ludhiana) and Dr Pravin Salunke and Dr Apinderpreet Singh (PGI, Chandigarh) who demonstrated the anatomy of craniovertebral junction.
The conference was formally inaugurated by Chief Guest, Prem K Gupta, Secretary Managing Society, DMC&H. In his message said that research plays an important role in advancements in Medical field. He also said that conferences help enrich and enhance our knowledge and are a good place to learn. Dignitaries present at the inauguration were Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal, DMCH, Dr GS Wander, Vice Principal, Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma and Dr Bishav Mohan Medical Suptd. DMCH, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, Dr. M. Sivakumar, M.S President, SOCA, Dr.N.Muthukumaravel, General Secretary, SOCA, Dr. Kumar Satish Ravi, Editor-in-Chief, National Journal of Clinical Anatomy,Chief Editor, Snell's Clinical Neuroanatomy (SAE).
There were guest lectures by Prof Richard Tunstall (University of Warwick, UK), Prof Gulgun Sengul (Ege university, Izmir, Turkey), Dr Dinesh Badyal ( CMC, Ludhiana) and Dr Deepak Modi ( ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai) on research in anatomical sciences.
The keynote address was by Prof Sudha Seshayyan, former Vice Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR medical University, Chennai.
126 free paper/ posters were presented in the conference. Dr Hitant Vohra, organising secretary, welcomed the dignitaries from all over India.
Soft launch of book “Early Clinical Exposure: A case based approach in Clinical Anatomy” authored by Dr Ajay Kumar & Dr Anu Sharma was done by dignitaries on stage. The retired Heads of anatomy department were also felicitated at the function.
