The Computer Applications Department of GGNIMT, Ludhiana on Monday organising an interactive session on “Soft Skills”.
Ludhiana, October 12, 2015: The Computer Applications Department of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organized an interactive session on “Soft Skills” here today.
Mr.Sanjeev Malhotra, Senior Corporate Training Manager, HCL Infosys, Noida was the resource person for the day.
Mr.Malhotra traced the journey of a student from his campus to a corporate. He highlighted the common mistakes that the students tend to make during their interviews and in their subsequent corporate life. He equipped the students with required tips and tricks to lead a successful corporate life.
Mr. Malhotra elaborated on the role of body language in effective communication. He explained in detail the body postures, eye contact, smile , handshake, and hand movements to guide the students with their correct usage.
Mr. Malhotra also practically demonstrated the body language and postures needed to be displayed during the interviews. He exhorted that the outside world-“the real life is very harsh” and one needs to prepare well to survive and grow.
Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Co-ordinator, GGNIMT said that the job scenario today demands the students to not only possess adequate technical skills but right amount of soft skills too to do well in life.
Dr. P. S Khattra , Principal, GGNIMT thanked the guest for sharing valuable information with the students.
