While summer vacations are here with students struggling at internships, the Dabangg girl, Sonakshi Sinha recalled her days of being an intern. The actress, who pursued her fashion designing course from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University (SNDT), reminisced interning for photographers, designers and even volunteering as an usher!
The effortlessly stylish and chic Sonakshi Sinha also has had her days of struggle before she made it big in Bollywood. The actress went down the memory lane sharing anecdotes from her college days. Before becoming a star, she was pursuing her studies and like any other student, took up an internship to gain hands-on experience. While speaking about the drastic change she has seen in the interns then and now, she said, "The interns these days are so prim and proper. They are so aware of everything, so focused with their hair and make-up. We used to go as if we just woke up from our beds and just scrammed. It was so much of a hustle but it was a lot of fun actually." Further speaking on the lines of the soon to-be-launched web series ‘Intern Diaries’ by Grazia, Sonakshi went ahead and spoke about how her internship has influenced her fashion sense as an actress, "Whatever I have learnt, I still use it even though I am not a part of the fashion industry directly, but as an actress, I still remember the things that I learnt."
‘Intern Diaries’ will take the viewers on an exciting and insightful journey of leading fashion magazine Grazia’s astute working culture. The 8-episode web series to be launched on Tuesday, 15th May, will feature Sonakshi Sinha and top designers such as Masaba Gupta, Anita Dongre, Manish Malhotra and Payal Singhal.
