Mumbai, February 21, 2025: This Mahashivratri, the talented artists of Sony SAB—Krishna Bharadwaj, Priyamvada Kant, Arav Chowdharry, Mahir Pandhi, and Sayli Salunkhe—share the significance of this auspicious day in their lives. For these actors, Mahashivratri is more than just a festival; it is a time of devotion and gratitude. From fasting and performing traditional rituals to drawing inspiration from Shiva’s divine teachings, each of them embraces the spirit of the occasion in a unique way. They also reflect on how this sacred night strengthens their faith and brings them closer to inner peace and harmony.

Krishna Bharadwaj who plays the role of Tenali Rama in Tenali Rama said, “Shivratri has been among one of the biggest festivals that we celebrate as a family. I have been fasting on Shivratri since the time I was a child. This Shivratri is even more special as my parents are also with me in Mumbai. So my mother is going to make all the marwari delicacies for the fast and I'm eagerly waiting to taste that.”
Priyamvada Kant who plays the role of Sharda in Tenali Rama said, “As a devotee of Lord Shiva, I'm deeply inspired by his divine energy and symbolism. His third eye reminds us to look beyond the obvious and trust our intuition, while his Trishul teaches us to balance our ego, mind, and intellect. May Lord Shiva's blessings bring peace, harmony, and self-awareness to all of us. I wish you all a very Happy Mahashivratri!”

Arav Chowdharry who plays the role of Kesari in Veer Hanuman said, “I am quite a spiritual person, so Mahashivratri holds a very special place in my heart. Every year, I perform Shiv ji’s puja with great devotion. The puja involves offering milk, water, belpatra, datura, sandalwood, and fruits to the Shivling, and the whole process of chanting mantras and lighting the diya creates a deeply serene and divine atmosphere. For me, this ritual is not just about tradition but also about inner peace and gratitude.”

Mahir Pandhi who plays the role of Bali and Sugreev in Veer Hanuman said, “One of the most awe-inspiring aspects of Mahashivratri is the Neelkanth legend; I grew up listening to my father telling me stories of how Lord Shiva selflessly consumed the deadly poison to protect the world and the festival takes me back to those days. Wishing everyone a very happy Shivratri—Jai Mahakal!

Sayli Salunkhe who plays the role of Anjani in Veer Hanuman said, "Mahashivratri is considered highly auspicious for meditation, and I make it a point to fast every year. It is believed that sincere worship of Lord Shiva on this day helps devotees break free from the cycle of birth and death, ultimately leading to moksha. May Shiv ji bless each one of us on this auspicious day!"
