Southern Byepass & Ludhiana-Bathinda projects are not cancelled
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has confirmed that Southern Byepass and the Ludhiana Bathinda projects have not been cancelled as such.
Ludhiana, June 28, 2024: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has confirmed that Southern Byepass and the Ludhiana Bathinda projects have not been cancelled as such.
The NHAI was underway in building expressways under the BharatMala Pariyojana with a total length of nearly 200kms in District Ludhiana, which when completed will provide a type of ring road around the urban heart of Ludhiana thereby massively easing the traffic congestion issues.
The projects currently underway in the district are the Delhi Katra Expressway Package 08 & 09, The Ludhiana Rupnagar Package 01, Ludhiana Rupnagar Package 02, the Ludhiana Southern Byepass and the Ludhiana Bathinda Package 02 and the NHAI is fully committed to ensure the development of these important expressways to ensure a safer and more comfortable commute to all the passengers.
Projects such as the Southern Byepass and the Ludhiana Bathinda Package are very well firmly in place and shall be developed by NHAI. The District Administration of Ludhiana remains fully committed to ensure the development of all the projects in District Ludhiana by NHAI.
“Certain issues of Land Acquisition are being resolved amicably with the landowners to ensure the development of these highways in District Ludhiana,” remarked a senior officials of the District Administration Ludhiana.
NHAI PD Ludhiana has also informed that the projects shall be commenced after taking over the possession for which state government & district administration Ludhiana are providing needful support.
