SPARK PUNJABI: Announces top 3 finalists for BIG Punjaban

Ludhiana, November 22, 2012: After months of auditions and overcoming several tasks bestowed on the contestants, Big Punjaban now enters the finale stage. Being aired on Spark Punjabi, the first international Punjabi channel for the region covering Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh (PHCHP) from the joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios International, BIG Punjaban is a unique talent hunt based show targeted at the housewives in Punjab as they showcase their skills and personalities.

The BIG Punjaban Grand Finale will be aired on November 29, 2012 at 5.30 pm only on Spark Punjabi – Tuhada Apna Punjabi Channel.

Waltzing into the Grand Finale are two housewives from Jalandar –Ritu Alipuria and Monika and one housewife from Amritsar –Amarjit Kaur Mann. They were here today. They interacted with the media persons.

The ladies have battled it out with their fellow contestants over a series of rounds which include Bill Da Maamla where they were required to guess the exact price of different products, Tu Te Main where they underwent a compatibility test with their husbands, ZaraaNach Ke Dikha where the contestants’ dance performances were judged by their fellow competitors, VirseDi Rani where the cultural knowledge of the contestants was tested, and MintoMinti where the contestants participated in various games that they were to complete within one minute. With the grand finale, BIG Punjaban is now set to crown the first-ever winner of the show who along with the title of BIG Punjaban will also win a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.

Speaking about the upcoming grand finale of BIG Punjaban, a channel spokesperson said, “Over the course of the past few weeks, audiences have witnessed the contestants of BIG Punjaban – the housewives – go through varied rounds as they worked hard to showcase their hidden talents and bring their personalities to the limelight. As the grand finale approaches, audiences will be in for a roller-coaster journey as they root for contestants from their respective cities. The response we have received for the show – during the auditions and also during its telecast on SPARK PUNJABI – has been phenomenal and we cannot wait to come back with a bigger and better second season of BIG Punjaban!”
